Married to Paul Nimchek (THS '65)
Paul and Patty continue to enjoy retirement. Paul graduated from Wesleyan University in 1969 and also received a Masters Degree from Fairfield University. He taught high school math for 10 years and then worked in IT at the Hartford Insurance Co. for 27 years, retiring in 2006. Since retiring Paul teaches a math course and tutors at Torrington UConn during the fall and spring semesters.
Patty graduated from Central Connecticut State College (now University) in 1969 and taught 2nd grade for four years until our first son, Michael, was born. Our second son, Matthew, followed in 1977. Patty received her Masters Degree from CCSU in the late 1980's and returned to teaching 2nd grade in 1992, retiring in 2007. Patty enjoys quilting, reading, and repairing things around the house.
We are blessed with two grandchildren, Clara (soon to be 7 years old) and Andrew who will be 5 in December. Grand parenting is the best! We have made a few trips to Disney World with the grandkids. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary with a Hawaii trip in 2014 and it was fantastic. This year we did a Viking River Cruise on the Danube River from Budapest to Germany. We are planning another river cruise for next year. We look forward to seeing everyone in October at the reunion.
